Insomnia — Ayurvedic Sleep Restoration

Sleep (Nidra) is one of the three pillars of life (Trayopastambha) in Ayurveda — alongside food and celibacy. Insomnia (Anidra) is primarily a Vata disorder, with excess Vata disturbing the natural downward flow of Prana needed for sleep onset. Pitta can also cause sleep interruption through mental activity and heat. Ayurveda restores natural sleep architecture without dependency on sleeping pills.

How It Works

Padabhyanga (foot oil massage with Ksheerabala Taila) before sleep is one of Ayurveda's most powerful sleep inducers — stimulating specific Marma points on the feet that directly calm Vata and induce Nidra.
