Garbhasanskar — Classical Prenatal Wellness

Garbhasanskar — literally “refinement of the womb” — is the ancient Ayurvedic science of holistic prenatal care. Classical texts like Charaka Samhita and Ashtanga Hridayam describe how the mother’s physical health, diet, emotions, thoughts, and environment directly shape the child’s constitution, intelligence, and character from the moment of conception.

Overview

Garbhasanskar is not just about the baby — it is a complete wellness programme for the mother during one of the most significant phases of her life. Our programme combines classical Ayurvedic Garbhini Paricharya (month-wise prenatal care), medicated Ghritam preparations, Satvik diet planning, Yoga and Pranayama, music and positive stimulation, and gentle Ayurvedic therapies safe for pregnancy.

How It Works

Our Garbhasanskar programme follows the classical month-wise protocol from Charaka Samhita. Each trimester has specific dietary, herbal, and lifestyle recommendations. Our BAMS doctor guides the mother through each stage with customised Pathya (regimen) and gentle Ayurvedic support.

Month 1–3 (First Trimester): Ksheera (milk) preparations with Shatavari, Ashwagandha; light Satvik diet; morning Pranayama; avoidance of Vata-aggravating factors

Month 4–6 (Second Trimester): Navaneetha (butter) preparations; Garbhini yoga; positive samskar practices; Shiroabhyanga (head massage) with Brahmi oil

Month 7–9 (Third Trimester): Asthapana Basti (safe enema) as per classical texts; Yoni Pichu for birth preparation; Anuvasan Basti with medicated oil; Sutika (post-delivery) planning
