Overview

Sattvavajaya Chikitsa — Ayurveda's classical mind therapy — is a comprehensive approach to restoring the harmony between the mind (Manas) and body (Sharira). It goes beyond symptom management to cultivate Sattva (clarity and harmony) and reduce Rajas (agitation) and Tamas (inertia) — the three mental qualities that govern psychological health.

How It Works

Unlike modern psychiatry which treats mind and body separately, Ayurveda treats them as one integrated system. Mind-body balance therapy combines medicated therapies (Shirodhara, Abhyanga, Nasya), Medhya Rasayanas (brain-nourishing herbs), Dinacharya (structured daily routine), Yoga and Pranayama, and counselling grounded in Ayurvedic psychology.

Manas Prakriti assessment — determine the dominant mental constitution (Sattvic, Rajasic or Tamasic) and current imbalance

Shirodhara — continuous warm oil stream on the forehead for 30–45 minutes, deeply calming the nervous system

Medhya Rasayana protocol — Brahmi, Shankhpushpi, Ashwagandha, Jyotishmati for sustained mental nourishment

Nasya with Brahmi oil — clears Prana Vaha Srotas and nourishes the brain directly through nasal route

Dinacharya design — structured morning routine, sleep hygiene, Pranayama (Nadi Shodhana, Brahmari) and dietary corrections
