Raktamokshana — Blood Purification Therapy

Raktamokshana is the fifth and most specialised Panchakarma procedure — a classical Ayurvedic bloodletting therapy designed to purify the blood and eliminate toxins that cannot be removed by other means. It is the treatment of choice for conditions rooted in impure or vitiated blood (Rakta dhatu), particularly chronic skin disorders, gout, and inflammatory conditions.

Raktamokshana works on the principle that impurities in the blood are the root cause of many chronic diseases. By removing a precise quantity of vitiated blood, the body's natural healing mechanisms are activated and Pitta-related toxins are directly eliminated.
